Rules

These rules are supplemental to those imposed by Infinity Bound's AUP. By entering the room you agree to follow both sets of rules as enforced by room staff. Any violation of rules within the room will subject you to a warning or complete removal from the room, at the discretion of the room's staff.

1. This room holds a rating of Adult and is not intended for consumption for chatters under the age of 16. Adult themes, including violence, sex, and explicit language, can be expected in the room. However, situations of a highly violent nature, or explicit sexuality should be removed from the room and played either in PMs or a private room.

2. This is a canon Harry Potter room. Although we allow, and encourage, creativity on the part of our roleplayers, no crossovers will be allowed under any circumstances, and players are expected to follow the history as written in the books.

3. Players are expected to act like civilized adults when in the room. Disrespect of fellow players/staff, OOC arguments, harassment, and trolling will not be permitted in the room. If the problem can not be resolved on its own, please do not hesitate to contact room staff.

4. All canon characters must be applied for. Applications are subject to a trial period. Characters must be played on a regular basis and are expected to stay true to the characters written by JK Rowling, and will forfeit the character if such guidelines are not followed. 5. You may not kill a character without permission of the player.

6. You may not godmod. Exceptionally powerful characters are not allowed in the room. In the case of dueling, you must allow your opponent an opportunity to react or evade, as not every spell you cast will be successful. Please keep in mind the age of your characters when casting spells; the harder the spell, the less likely your character will be able to perform it when they're young.

7. Special characters (ie veelas, werewolves, metamorphmagi, and so forth) are subject to approval by room staff due to their small numbers. Please visit our section on character creation for more information.

8. While we no longer employ the use of an avatar reserve, we ask that actors in the Harry Potter movies be used only for canons.
